ABOUT THE ART

This is a painting of a Sardinian landscape. When I lived there in my 20's, I traveled the backcountry in an RV with friends from Argentina who were also of Sardinian descent but hadn't spent every summer there like I had. It was amazing to watch them photograph all the things that were foreign to them but felt so familiar to me. When I feel far from my homeland, I find serenity in painting these familiar scenes.
